A Message From Our Founder and CEO

     Hello! My name is Carolyn Smylie, the proud founder and CEO of Kolton's Karnival Ltd. Thank you so much for reaching out to us. Kolton's Karnival exists to better the lives of families struggling due to a child illness. I want to take a minute to explain why I am so passionate about this organization, and why I want you to get involved. Kolton LeClair is a young boy that was diagnosed with Rhabdomayosarcoma at the age of four. I met Kolton six months into his first round of chemotherapy. Immediately I saw an incredible heart and soul in this young man, the heart of a fighter. I fell in love with his spirit.

     I have a huge passion for helping people in any capacity that I can, and organizing events is one of my favorite ways to spend time. I found a crossroad between these two desires when I was presented with an ability to plan the first Kolton’s Karnival. This event was much bigger than I could have ever imagined, and has grown into an annual event. Putting everything together to become a non-profit corporation has been a lot of work, but every second spent on this project has been worth it. That is why I am so excited that you are here at our website!
